Chris Rond is a Paris based ceramist known for her expert mixture of rough surfaces and elegant shape. The vessels, inspired by nature, wood, and stone, are full of texture and striking glaze work, decisions which highlight their material roots. Recently, she has taken to incorporating weathered wood into her vessels as handles, the choice being seamless as the wood and clay work in beautiful harmony. Her work has been exhibited both in France and abroad and continues production from her studio in Paris.
