Freeda Miranda is a ceramist whose work is borne out of a study of archeology, a childhood surrounded by the course igneous rock of Southwestern India, and a love of rugged mountains and geological texture. Currently living in Paris, France, Miranda’s forms are textured with time worn patinas evocative of weathered terrain and oxidized bronze. This effect creates a relationship between her ceramics and the living pulse of time and history.
