FRESHET: OLD LOVES, NEW DIRECTIONS & JAPAN: SELECTIONS OF CONTEMPORARY WORK, ART BRUT, TEXTILES, CERAMICS & NEW BASKETRY

Summer 2014

It is Summertime again and in the Cavin-Morris tradition we look both backward and forward; to the previous year's shows and collections, and next year's aspirations. This Summer we present two exhibitions that demonstrate our eclectic interests.

Freshet: Old Loves, New Directions, celebrates the gallery artists we have been working with over the past few years. The underlying theme is the visionary experience of Nature. Also connected with Nature are the works in our second show, Japan, which shows the broad range of materials and processes utilized in works from the most utilitarian to the most abstract and non-functional in ceramics, art brut, paper, textiles, wood and new basketry.
