Mohammad Banissi was born on January 3, 1992, a surviving twin. His early childhood years prior to primary school made Mohammad’s disabilities apparent and he began supervised speech and behavior therapy. He was plagued by health issues throughout his young life, the last of which kept him terminally out of school. It was at this point that he began his artistic activities with the support of his parents.

Banissi draws what he sees but abstracted, even if he is drawing the portrait of a well-known personality which he finds in magazines. He diverts all his subjects, human or architectural, into compositions more complex than the original. These interpretations are colorful. He ignores the rules of perspective new creating fantastical dimensions for his subject matter.
