Touri Maruyama established her first studio and kiln in 1995. She has been working as a full-time ceramist since 1999 and joined the art exhibition of the Catholicism of Art Society in Tokyo. She was born in Tokyo and graduated from Shirayuri Women’s College and Tokyo Tamagawa University’s Department of Education in 1987. Along with her artistic practice she works in Art Therapy and teaches. She has exhibited her work in the US, Belgium, Korea, and across Japan.
