View fullsize Tsubusa Kato Jog , 2013 Bluish-white glazed porcelain 14.75 x 15 x 6 inches 37.5 x 38.1 x 15.2 cm KTS 14

Tsubusa Kato was born into a family with a long history of pottery making. Although he learned from a young age, he was initially uninterested in the craft but after extensive travel in his youth he ultimately decided to pursue pottery making. After graduating from Tajimi City Ceramic Design Institute he worked at a production studio until he built his own kiln in Tomika-cho. Quickly after he built his kiln he found success and his work is in collections across the globe.
