Yoh Tanimoto is a Japanese ceramic artist born into an Iga craftsman family. He spent his early years surrounded by Iga pottery and when he went to school at the Kyoto Prefectural Ceramics Institute he started to study Kyoto techniques as well as continuing his study of Iga technique. After school, he moved to Paris and eventually established his own Film outside the city and began to produce work. Four years later he moved back to Mie Prefecture in Iga. His success has taken him all over the globe in exhibitions and work.
